Your first visit to 80 Kensington Dental Clinic begins with thoughtfully designed consultation to give you clarity, confidence, and complete peace of mind.

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed in our reception and invited to complete a confidential medical and patient history form.

Your consultation lasts approximately 30 minutes, during which our clinician will take the time to fully understand your needs and carefully create a personalised treatment plan. Every question you may have will be addressed with honesty and care.

We begin by listening and taking the time to understand your concerns, aspirations, and expectations, and exploring how we can meet and exceed them. You’ll be guided through the treatment options available to you, with a clear explanation of the benefits and any potential considerations, so you can make an informed and confident decision.

Should treatment be recommended, all pre and post treatment care will be explained in detail, ensuring you feel fully supported at every stage of your journey.

Anti-Wrinkle Injection Pre-Treatment Instructions:

• To avoid bruising it is best not to take any pain relievers that are blood thinners such as aspirin or Vitamin E.
 • Do not use muscle relaxants if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to any of its ingredients, or suffer from any neurological disorders. Please inform me if you have any questions about this prior to the procedure.
 • Sunburned skin is difficult to treat so avoid exposure to the sun.
 • Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal cream on the area to be treated.
 • Avoid the use of Retinoids.
 • Inform us if you have a history of perioral herpes or need to receive advice on antiviral therapy prior to treatment.
 • Please inform the clinician of all medications you may be taking as well as your medical history.

Anti-Wrinkle Injection Post-Treatment Instructions:

You may experience some bruising in the treated areas following your Muscle Relaxant treatment. This is normal and temporary. Please note that it can take up to two weeks to see the full effect of the treatment, as it takes time for the muscles to relax and for the lines to soften and fade.

Some movement in the treated areas is expected and perfectly acceptable. The goal of Muscle Relaxant treatment is to improve the appearance of lines, not necessarily to completely paralyze the muscles. If improvement can be achieved while still allowing subtle facial expression, this is considered a positive outcome.

For best results, we recommend gently exercising the treated muscles for 1–2 hours after your treatment (for example, by frowning, raising your eyebrows, or squinting). This may help the product settle into the muscles. However, if you forget to do this, it will not negatively affect your results.

Please follow these aftercare instructions:

• Do not rub or massage the treated areas for 4 hours after your treatment.
 • Avoid yoga and any strenuous exercise for 24 hours to reduce the risk of increased blood pressure and bruising.
 • Avoid facials for two weeks following your treatment. You may shower and continue most normal daily activities.
 • Do not lie down for 4 hours after your treatment to avoid pressure on the treated areas.
 • Any small bumps or marks at the injection sites should resolve within a few hours. If you need to apply makeup within the first 4 hours, use only a light, gentle touch.
 • Avoid alcohol for a few days after treatment, as it can increase the risk of bruising.

• Avoid Yoga or any type of strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment. This will minimize the risk of raising your blood pressure and therefore minimize the risk of temporary bruising.
 • Final results may take up to 14 days for some patients to fully develop. Please wait until this time has passed before evaluating your outcome.
